This has been a big week for Synapsis, as we had our first installation for our Distance Learning Technology program, RISE. We were on site in Altamont, Illinois installing new Polycom equipment to bring RISE to Southern Illinois.
RISE, or Rural Illinois Shared Education, was created to address a teacher shortage in Illinois. It is a video enabled, highly collaborative teaching and communication tool for education professionals in the State of Illinois. RISE will allow education professionals to share resources, engage in professional development programs, and participate in informal collaborative activities with other educators, as well as students.
Our goal for RISE is to offer more opportunities to students in rural areas, and to expand education throughout Illinois.
